About Pierce
I've helped CEOs prepare for boards, executives prepare for Davos, and private clients prepare for the kinds of conversations that don't make the news. Nearly a decade in those rooms has clarified what makes a great communicator. It isn't having the best stories. It's knowing what to leave out. Today I bring that discipline to AssetMark, where I lead content for the wealth management platform, and to a boutique consulting practice serving SVP+ leaders across financial services, technology, and government.
Before AssetMark, I spent four years at Silicon Valley Bank leading content strategy for the company's flagship research, including the State of the U.S. Wine Industry Report, which generated over 120 million media impressions and coverage in the New York Times, Forbes, and the Washington Post. Earlier, at Edelman, I directed executive communications for Fortune 500 leaders, facilitated speaking engagements at the World Economic Forum at Davos, and co-produced "Never Stand Still," a Shorty Award-nominated video podcast series with PayPal's CEO.
In the last two years, AI has changed how work is done. Today, I also design agentic workflows, build custom GPTs as professional infrastructure, and advise executive teams on how to integrate these tools without losing humanity or judgment. My view on AI is pragmatic. It does some things well and a lot of things poorly. The key is knowing which is which.
Outside of work, I'm a landscape photographer with images licensed through Getty. Time behind a lens has made me a sharper strategist. It forces you to ask what's earning its place. I bring that question to everything I create, from a single sentence to a full content program.
I'm a San Francisco Bay Area native who has served on boards focused on financial literacy, college affordability, and health equity. That work matters on its own terms and keeps me close to how people lead their financial lives.
